Fabric stores in Sevier County

Sevier County’s verified quilting resources are concentrated in Richfield. Quilters can buy fabric locally, arrange longarm finishing, attend a school-year guild, enter county-fair exhibits, and participate in a three-day fall festival without leaving the county.

Fabric and longarm service in Richfield

Christensen’s Fabric Department operates inside the family-owned department store at 39 N. Main Street. Current 2026 project posts document quilting cotton, panels, precuts, patterns, and coordinating yardage, including Riley Blake Designs and Wilmington Prints collections.

The fabric department also offers longarm quilting. The parent store publishes hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, but its website does not catalog fabric. Call before a special trip for a particular collection, backing quantity, notion, or longarm turnaround.

Cove View Quilters

Cove View Quilters meets at 10 a.m. on the second Monday from September through May at the Richfield Senior Center, 840 N. 300 West. Its member-submitted listing describes about 25 members, $10 annual dues, a block of the month, demonstrations, classes, show and tell, donation quilts, and raffles.

The guild does not publish its own calendar. Confirm the meeting before attending, especially because the listed schedule pauses during summer.

Quilter’s Heritage Festival

The Quilter’s Heritage Festival returns to the Sevier County Fairgrounds October 8-10, 2026. The organizer confirms a public quilt display, classes, open sewing, vendors, and a 2026 project collecting quilts for the University of Utah Burn Unit. Registration is open, and the organizer says some classes are already filling.

The festival has 70 reservable open-sewing spaces. A four-hour reservation costs $10, a full day costs $25, and an all-three-day pass costs $60. Unreserved spaces remain free when available, but they cannot be held while the user attends a class. Power, shared travel irons, pressing boards, and nearby cutting stations are provided.

Christensen’s Fabric Department is the closest active fabric listing in this directory. Rather Bee Quilting has closed, so older recommendations that send festival visitors there should not be followed. Class registration and other details can change, so use the festival website for the current schedule.

County-fair quilt exhibits

The 2026 Sevier County Fair ran August 3-8. Its open-class quilt department judged beginner, intermediate, and advanced work in 13 categories, including hand- and machine-pieced quilts, hand- and machine-quilted work, tied quilts, appliqué or embroidered mixed techniques, infant quilts, miniatures, wall hangings, and quilted clothing.
