Fabric stores in Richfield, Utah

Richfield is Sevier County’s quilting center. Its downtown fabric department covers shopping and longarm needs, while a school-year guild and two public event programs provide learning, sewing time, service opportunities, and places to display quilts.

Christensen’s Fabric Department

Christensen’s Fabric Department is inside the family-owned department store at 39 N. Main Street. Recent 2026 fabric and project posts document panels, precuts, patterns, quilting cotton, and coordinating yardage from Riley Blake Designs, Wilmington Prints, and other manufacturers.

Longarm quilting is also available through the department. Christensen’s publishes hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Because its parent website does not include a live fabric catalog, call before driving for a specific collection, backing quantity, or longarm appointment.

Cove View Quilters

Cove View Quilters meets at 10 a.m. on the second Monday from September through May at the Richfield Senior Center, 840 N. 300 West. Its public listing describes demonstrations, classes, block-of-the-month activities, show and tell, donation projects, and raffle drawings.

The schedule is member-submitted and the guild has no public calendar. Confirm with the senior center before attending, and do not assume the group meets in summer.

October festival and county-fair quilts

The 11th annual Quilter’s Heritage Festival is scheduled for October 8-10, 2026, at the Sevier County Fairgrounds. The program includes a public quilt display, classes, open sewing, vendors, and a service project collecting quilts for the University of Utah Burn Unit. Registration is open; consult the organizer for current class and open-sewing availability.

The same fairgrounds host quilt exhibits during the Sevier County Fair. The 2026 rules included 13 quilt categories and separate beginner, intermediate, and advanced judging.
