Fabric stores in Santa Clara, Utah

Santa Clara is a small city west of St. George with one substantial destination for quilters. Clover Patch Quilt Shop opened in 2016 and now buys from about 40 fabric companies, giving shoppers thousands of bolts to compare in one location.

The current selection includes designer quilting cotton, basics, blenders, solids, novelty and juvenile prints, holiday fabric, batiks, widebacks, minky, and flannel. Kits, patterns, books, tools, and notions support complete projects. Classes and workshops provide instruction, while longarm quilting and binding services can help finish a quilt after the top is assembled.

Planning the visit

Clover Patch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, giving it longer and earlier hours than several St. George shops. Check class registration in advance. For longarm or binding service, call before drop-off to confirm preparation, pricing, and turnaround requirements.

Santa Clara is near Snow Canyon State Park, so the shop can fit naturally into a red-rock outing. Summer temperatures make morning the more comfortable time for an outdoor stop.
