Quilting in Rich County

Rich County does not currently have a verified dedicated quilt shop or publicly listed adult quilt guild chapter. Its strongest documented quilting pathway is through Utah State University Extension and the county fair, where young makers can learn sewing and prepare textile projects for exhibition.

Rich County Fair and 4-H quilting

USU Extension’s current statewide county-fair schedule lists the 2026 Rich County Fair for August 10 through 15. The fair is held at the Rich County Fairgrounds in Randolph. The same state resource provides judging categories for quilting, tied quilting, sewing construction, and fabric crafts.

Those statewide categories do not replace Rich County’s local rules. The Rich County Extension website was still showing a 2025 fair schedule during this review, so families should contact the Rich County Extension office for 2026 enrollment, entry deadlines, intake times, and the current fairbook.

Just a Stitch youth club

The current Rich County 4-H page highlights a club called Just a Stitch alongside its other youth clubs. The public page does not provide a meeting schedule, project list, or 2026 session dates, so this guide does not present it as a drop-in sewing group. Parents can ask the county Extension office whether the club is accepting members and which sewing or quilting projects are planned for the current 4-H year.

Adult guilds and fabric shopping

The 2026 Utah Quilt Guild directory does not list a Rich County chapter, and no local adult quilt group with a current public meeting schedule was verified. Informal groups may still meet privately, but an old social post or an unconfirmed business listing is not enough to direct visitors to a meeting.
