Quilts on the Edge

Quilts on the Edge is Vernal’s established quilt guild and one of the main quilting connections for the wider Uinta Basin. It meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Golden Age Center, 330 S. Aggie Boulevard. Meeting twice monthly gives the group more room for projects and instruction than a typical once-a-month schedule.

The guild’s public description lists about sixty members and $25 annual dues. Activities include classes, swaps, charity projects, and quilt shows. That range makes the group useful to both newer quilters who want instruction and experienced members looking for challenges, service work, and people with whom to share a project.

A regional resource

Distances matter in northeastern Utah. Vernal has two verified fabric businesses, but many specialized classes and events still require travel toward the Wasatch Front. A local guild helps members share recommendations and bring learning into the basin rather than making every quilter solve those problems alone.
