Fabric stores in Heber City, Utah

Heber City is Wasatch County’s center for quilt retreats, guild activity, and public displays. It has a dedicated sewing retreat and an established evening guild, although regular walk-in fabric shopping remains limited.

Mountain MERMade

Mountain MERMade operates from a restored 1905 home at 512 S. Main Street. The retreat has eight powered sewing stations, cutting and ironing areas, design walls, three shared bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. Options have included sew days, short overnight sessions, private group reservations, beginner quilting, and quilted-jacket classes.

Its permanent fabric and gift boutique is still marked “coming soon” on the official website. A smaller pop-up fabric shop was documented in 2026, but it does not have published retail hours. Call before visiting only to shop.

Heber Valley Quilters

Heber Valley Quilters meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday at the Wasatch County Library, 465 E. 1200 South. The guild combines technique lessons and Sew and Tell with challenges, an annual retreat, and community service.

In 2026, the guild worked with Midway and Kamas quilters on approximately 700 patriotic baby quilts for Heber Valley and Park City hospital births. The library displayed the project from June 29 through July 31.

Fair Days quilts

Wasatch County Fair Days also accepts quilts for its annual public community exhibits. The 2026 celebration ran July 23 through August 1, with exhibits displayed through the Wasatch County Recreation Center. Check the current exhibit book for categories, registration, drop-off, and pickup dates.
