Fabric stores in Sanpete County

Sanpete County has more quilting infrastructure than the old one-store description suggested. Gunnison supplies the county’s verified retail shop and an evening guild, while Spring City and Mayfield add two more current chapters. Ephraim’s Scandinavian Festival provides an annual public showcase for local work.

Gunnison: supplies, machines, classes, and service

Quilt S’more carries quilting cotton, cuddle and minky, wide backing, precuts, batting, patterns, books, thread, rulers, cutting tools, and notions. It sells Husqvarna Viking, Handi Quilter, and Singer machines and carries AccuQuilt, Floriani, Quilters Select, Sew Steady, and Anita Goodesign products.

Services include quilting, embroidery, and software classes; longarm quilting, certification, and rental; sewing-machine repair; and online shopping. Three current guild chapters

Mountain Valley Quilt Guild meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday at Gunnison City Hall. It is the closest guild to Quilt S’more and contributes quilts to the Scandinavian Festival show.

Horseshoe Mountain Quilters meets at 10:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday at the Spring City Old School. This daytime group also participates in the Scandinavian Festival Quilt Show.

White Hills Quilt Guild meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday at Mayfield Town Hall. Public details about programs and dues are limited, so first-time visitors should confirm with the Utah Quilt Guild.

Gunnison Valley Senior Center also reported quilting-room sessions at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in 2026, providing another option for area seniors.

Scandinavian Festival Quilt Show

The annual Scandinavian Festival Quilt Show is held at the Ephraim Co-op over Memorial Day weekend. The 2026 show accepted pieced, appliquéd, machine-quilted, hand-quilted, antique, small, large, and first-time entries. Visitors voted for favorites, and multiple Sanpete quilting groups contributed work. Check the festival website for the next dates and entry instructions.
