Mountain MERMade

Mountain MERMade opened its Heber City retreat in November 2025 inside the restored Frederick and Minnie Crook home at 512 S. Main Street. The 1905 house combines dedicated sewing space with overnight accommodations and is available for scheduled sew days, short stays, and private group retreats.

Sewing setup

The main workroom has eight individual creation stations with power, motorized sit-or-stand desks, and La-Z-Boy sewing chairs. Guests also have large cutting tables with mats, two ironing stations, design walls, fast Wi-Fi, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Local reporting describes a second large sewing room plus a separate cutting and ironing area.

The official 2026 Sew and Stay page lists three shared guest bedrooms, two full bathrooms with step-in showers, a salon area, and new beds. Its public sessions offered single sew days as well as one- and two-night options. The overnight option for those sessions was limited to women age 18 or older unless arranged with the retreat.

Classes and fabric availability

Mountain MERMade has offered beginner quilting and quilted-jacket classes. Its permanent fabric and gift boutique is still labeled “coming soon” online. April 2026 reporting confirmed a smaller pop-up fabric shop in the garage that opened when a blue bicycle was displayed outside, so call rather than assuming regular retail hours.
