Summit County Fair quilt exhibits
The current Home Arts rules give quilts their own class rather than grouping them into a general craft category. The 2026 program included child and crib quilts, pieced and appliquéd work, tied quilts, quilts finished by hand or machine, wall hangings, holiday quilts, and mixed techniques.
The 2026 exhibit was open to the public August 6 through 8. Entries were accepted on August 4 and limited to current Summit County residents. The fair also required work to be complete, clean, and generally no more than one year old. Check the current page before entering because the schedule, lots, and release instructions can change.
Local guild and shopping options
The county’s verified guild is Kamas Valley Quilters, which meets monthly in Marion near Kamas. No dedicated quilt shop is currently verified in Coalville. An older shop moved from Coalville toward Park City more than a decade ago and is now marked closed, so old directory entries should not be used to plan a visit.
The Summit County guide covers basic fabric in Park City and dedicated shopping in neighboring counties. A missing current business can be reported through the correction form.
