Fabric stores in Provo, Utah

Provo’s two sewing stores complement each other without duplicating much. Harmony is the fabric-focused stop, especially for garment sewing, while Dave’s Bernina centers on machines, repair, accessories, and instruction.

Harmony carries quilting cotton and widebacks alongside a broad apparel range that includes linen, rayon, silk, wool, knits, denim, canvas, corduroy, gauze, lawn, and other substrates. It also stocks yarn, independent patterns, notions, and gifts. Garment sewists should bring the pattern envelope so they can compare the required weight, stretch, drape, and yardage with the fabric in hand.

Dave’s Bernina sells BERNINA and bernette sewing, quilting, embroidery, and serger machines. The store also provides repairs and carries parts, feet, hoops, thread, fabric, and notions. Its calendar includes classes, clubs, and open-sew sessions; check prerequisites and supply lists before registering.

Use the current addresses

Harmony has moved to 275 East Center Street. Older directories may still point to its former location at 315 East Center Street. Dave’s is north of downtown at 2017 North 550 West, so the stores are not both on Center Street. Harmony currently remains open until 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, which makes it the easier late-day stop.
