American Fork has two distinct creative shops close to its historic downtown. The pair works well for a short local outing because one focuses on quilting and machine embroidery while the other mixes fabric with yarn, gifts, and classes.

The Quilter’s Crossing on Main Street stocks quilting cotton, cuddle fabric, kits, thread, rulers, notions, and machine- embroidery supplies. Its class calendar is useful for quilters and embroiderers who want guided help with a technique or a specific project. Makers & Co. opened in October 2025 in the historic Aunt Lill house across from the American Fork Library. It took over the former Sewing Basket location after that shop’s owner retired. The new business carries fabric, thread, yarn, creative supplies, and locally oriented gifts, with classes that broaden the stop beyond quilting alone.
