Maple Mountain Quilt Retreat

Maple Mountain Quilt Retreat sits on River Bottoms Road in Spanish Fork, semi-secluded but not remote — close enough to dining, shopping and hiking that a non-sewing afternoon is easy to arrange.

The workroom is what distinguishes it. Eight individual workstations, each with its own power source and an ergonomic chair; cutting tables that adjust for height, with mats and long rulers; and two ironing stations. That last detail matters more than it sounds: one iron between eight people creates a line that quietly eats a whole morning.

The bedrooms each have a theme—The Cabin, Grandma’s Attic, Land That I Love, and Quilters Are Crazy—giving groups a memorable way to choose rooms.

The house has six bedrooms, including four private rooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a kitchen stocked with the amenities needed to prepare your own meals. It accommodates eight guests, with groups of up to ten sometimes possible; check with the host before booking a larger group. The sewing room has eight individual workstations, so ask about work space as well as sleeping arrangements.

Height-adjustable cutting tables are worth singling out. On day one nobody notices; by day three, anyone who has spent hours bent over a table two inches too low certainly does.
